Lovely property located close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were able to bring our German Shepherd and soak in the gorgeous mountain views. Hiking, visiting Asheville, driving the Blue Ridge, and relaxing on the deck. Big kitchen to make meals in and we watched the deer eat breakfast outside the dining window. Owners had bird feeders we could put out, making it fun to see species we hadn't seen up close. Comfortable bed and the ability to do laundry was a plus. House was clean and well-maintained. If you would like to use the grill, bring some charcoal. Grocery store was 8 miles away so you can always pick up items you may have forgotten to pack.
Beautiful Vistas and quiet retreat
Gail's home was well maintained and had a gorgeous view right out the front of the windows. Pictures do not do it justice. Firewood for wood burning fireplace was provided and plentiful. The home is located well off and up from the main road (if that was an issue in Burnsville). Only thing to consider is that the home is 2 stories and the lower level is a separate rental if that concerns you. It was unbooked for our trip and only added to the serenity. It was our base camp for hiking the Black Mountain Crest Trail and it worked out perfectly. We would stay here again and recommend highly.
Wonderful, completely as advertised
The first thing is the view. Exceptional mountain views in all directions, viewed from either the large porch or inside behind panoramic windows. Rooms were spacious, everything was clean and neat. There were people in the unit downstairs, but we could barely tell they were there. Road is a little rough, but only for a short time, and no problem if you drive reasonably. Would be happy to return. Did I mention the view?
You want to wake up to this VIEW!
Our stay in the upper level apartment in Burnsville was perfect. - The view is ever changing and incredible. From lightning storms behind the distant mountains under a full moon at night, to exsquisite sunrises, to rolling green in the daytime sunshine we never tired of staring out from the balcony. - Easy check in - Very clean - Comfortable -Super communication and care from the owner Just a short drive through a beautiful area to a super market and restaurants. Asheville and various lakes and hikes all within a hour's striking distance in all directions. This is a perfect jump off point for your NC / TN adventures!
The views are worth every penny. We loved it!
