What a fun little studio to stay in!
We really enjoyed our brief stay at this studio in Asheville. Our hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. Great location, easy car ride or Uber to downtown. Only wish the kitchenette had a sink! We plan on going back soon.

Absolutely Worst Experience Ever
We left after 7 nights instead of 9 nights. We should have left after 1. Place was dirty, dank, and grossly misrepresented as a private luxury suite. Don’t understand previous high ratings. Fawn L’s review of July, 2018 is the most accurate review while maybe too kind. We wish we had paid more attention to Diane K’s review of May 2018. There is absolutely no way we would recommend this place to anyone.

Cute & homey
The outside area was super cute (even though we didn’t get time to take advantage of it). The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and the shower was huge! Karen was quick to respond when we had a question about the internet. It’s really close to everything we wanted to do and would stay here again!

Just Fantastic!
We spent a lot of time looking at properties to spend a long weekend in Asheville, NC and I have to say we chose the right one. First of all, Kathy was so nice and so helpful and welcomed us and made us feel really at home right away. The place itself was everything we wanted and more. The king size bed was very comfortable and the place was very spacious and had a great hot tub and super nice shower. There was a sitting area outside with a covered table where we loved to enjoy our pre-dinner beer (we were on a beercation, after all). The location was wonderful, tucked away in a very nice neighborhood, so it seemed super private, but it was also super close to everything we wanted to visit. Downtown Asheville and Biltmore were minutes away. We don't have a dog, but this place is very dog friendly and Kathy's very friendly dog will greet you if you're lucky like we were. :) I highly, highly recommend this location for a couple who wants to get away for a truly enjoyable experience.

Artist's Escape - Bonus Stars
So I'm not really an artist, but I felt like one staying here. Big windows and hip decor make this space a place where one can ponder the things that are pushed aside in constant white noise of everyday life. The studio feels like something out of a inflight magazine advertisement prosmising escape from the mundane day to day and lounging in something that is part apartment and part spa with a nature setting. It's the kind of place you always imagine going and never do. It's large open space that made for a great workspace when I needed to check in with the office, living space when I wanted to kick my feet up and watch TV, and rest space, when I needed some sleep. And sleep well, I did. The bed is large and comfortable with enough pillows to build a fort, not that I did anything like that. But there is enough for one. The bathroom is like something out of Vegas luxury suite. I took so many showers during my stay. It's irresponsible with water conservation but I couldn't help myself. It's the coolest bathroom in any place I've ever stayed. There was some chocolate and wine waiting for me on the table in the sitting area when I arrived. A five hour flight and an hour drive into town and there is wine and chocolate in the room waiting for me like old friends ready for a night of conversation. Both were amazing but the chocolate are made by the owner Kathy and her family. They sell it in stores and everything. Dark chocolate, super low carb, sorry this has nothing to do with the place but I thought it was awesome. Speaking of Kathy, she is friendly and clearly communicates all the info you need to enjoy your stay. I had the pleasure and staying at one of her other properties and got to meet her son. He, like her, was welcoming and made my stay that much home-like, which is what I want when I travel. This will not be my last stay and honestly, I could live in an apartment like this. If you're reading this review, take my advice and Treat Yourself.

Really disappointing, and gross at times
There were so many issues with this property. It started with the directions. I got an email with paragraph after paragraph of useless details trying to explain how to get there. All that was needed would have been “take the first right and the first left and then park to the left of the fence.” That’s it. Instead I drove for a long time in circles. Fortunately the owner answered her phone but she was SO CONDESCENDING, telling me “you need to read the directions”. Seriously? Then I cannot find the property because it is marked with a number 1. Nowhere in the multiple paragraphs was this information. And it got worse from there. No wifi information. Locking the door required slamming it and then pushing really hard on it (as if I would do that to someone else’s home without them telling me.) Dog poop right next to the entry door (smelled gross, looked gross). Dog poop in multiple places under the patio table (easy to find it due to all of the flies). Mold in the shower. No sink in the kitchen. (Seriously?!?!!! In the list of amenities included with the kitchen it does not list a sink but then again I don’t consider that to be an amenity. So I cannot say that I didn’t know but this made no sense). So I washed dishes in the bathroom. “Fresh cream” was described in the ad but the cream in the fridge expired in August 2017. Seriously. I took a photo. And then there were the people in unit 2, who seemed to be long term renters or maybe the owners family; and not vacationers, who fought about money. Loudly. Late at night. This property is basically a house with outer doors added to the bedrooms and walls instead of doorways. I heard every word of the money fights (it was obnoxious). Even worse was the owner’s attitude. She came, within an hour, of my arrival and she was apologetic in words but not in tone. She told me multiple times that “I have had this rental for 7 years and no one has had this many issues.” She gave me extra chocolate bars (that I didn’t want and threw away) and actually THREW two $20 bills at me. I didn’t need a refund (at that point) because I was trying to be positive and respectful and I had not found all of the issues, yet. Throwing money at me physically was just base and obnoxious. $40 did not fix the problems. Never, ever again. Don’t rent from this woman if you want cleanliness, respect or a good night’s sleep. The next time that I am in Asheville it will be nowhere near this awful situation.

Great studio, nice and private, close to town, and friendly but allowing of privacy proprietors.
Woul highly recommend, would like to go back! Unfortunately I had to cut my stay short, sick horse, but was very much enjoying, the clean, pretty, convenient surroundings.

Perfect location, wonderful hosts, clean and eclectic apartment
My partner and I stayed at Kathy's home over memorial day weekend and had a fantastic time. Check in and check out were extremely easy, and we had chocolate AND wine waiting for us when we got there. The apartment was clean and had absolutely everything we needed for a long weekend. The air-conditioning unit was on and controlled by us, which I really appreciate (I hate being hot). The apartment has several big windows that overlook a shared backyard, but you can close the curtains to make the space private. The jacuzzi tub, oversized shower, and heated tiles were an awesome plus. There are also several DVDs available to watch on the big-screen TV and we definitely watched some after long days out on the town/at breweries. This is the perfect place to stay for a romantic get-away-- especially for those of us that have dogs! Kathy and Patrick are lovely people and were very available when we needed them to be while also completely respecting our privacy. Thank you!!

There was no "luxury" attached to this suite!
We have used VRBO on many occasions and have never been disappointed. This rental was dirty, musty and so unappealing that we did not stay. We forfeited our total payment because of the condition that we saw upon arrival. The quaint outdoor space was filthy with chair pads with mold. The grass was not mowed, and the outdoor table had an inch of dirt and grime on top. Inside the air conditioner was very loud and duct taped to the wall and window. It appeared to us that this homeowner had not prepared for our stay.

Perfect for our Needs
We were in Asheville for a conference and this pet-friendly location was perfect. It was close to downtown and yet it felt like being in the country. Many good "chain" restaurants nearby that offer "Take-Out," which was helpful for decent meals on the fly. The king size bed was comfortable. The heated floor was cozy. A nice little home away from home.

Quiet, comfortable space in the mountains.
Clean, very comfortable bed, and very peaceful stay in Asheville. The dogs had a great big fenced in area and we had such peaceful sleep. Would recommend! Owners are good people!

A perfect retreat!
This was the perfect place to stay for our 6-night getaway to Asheville. The bed was super comfy and the accommodations couldn't have been nicer! We would stay there again in a heartbeat! It's close to everything and very quiet and private.
