Quiet, out-of-the-way place
We found the place to be very suitable for a large family. We made use of all the beds, fold out, and portable crib which were each comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all the amenities and there was plenty of seating throughout. The jet tub made for a relaxing evening. Cell phone service is spotty but WiFi is available. The host was quick and responsive to our questions.

Awesome views .. Relaxing
We very much enjoyed our stay at Toboggan Run. The views were beautiful, the place was quiet and very nicely decorated. The fire places were amazing. My only suggestion would be to provide hand soap at all sinks, especially the kitchen. Washing hands while cooking is a must for me. I never did locate a cutting board or tonges in the kitchen. I really appreciate John and Rick taking care of our coffee pot, internet & microwave issues. They were very understanding and prompt. The only negative experience was that we encountered some ants in the kitchen and downstairs near the toy corner. We couldnt leave anything on the counters and I wiped the toys and actually moved them while we were there .. since we had little ones. This was a family mini-vacation and Toboggan Run was a perfect place. Yes, we will most likely return. The free admission ticket to the Biltmore was an very nice touch. We did a tour and loved it.

Loved it! Comfortable & quiet, beautifully decorated, roomy, beautiful pond
We arrived to a nice home. House has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a pullout couch in the den that closed off separate, 2 full bathrooms. Full kitchen ect. An apt with a king bed, full bathroom, full kitchen, livingroom with another comfy pullout couch and more couches and furniture. This was rented to us as a replacement rental for the same price as the previous rental we had. Kathy notified us that there was a problem with our rental and she offered this one to us. Nicely decorated. The house was welcoming. We had a key issue and kathy lives 5 minutes away and came immediately to assist us. Thank you for sharing this home with us. I will keep it in my mind if we need another one.

Lovely quiet place to stay
Enjoyed spending almost a week at this lovely rental. It is decorated nicely with tile floors in living room and hardwoods throughout kitchen and bedroom. The updated kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes and pots/pans even a crock pot. They do not have a dishwasher or ice maker but have ice trays for cubed ice. I truly enjoyed cooking in this kitchen, it almost felt like home. The 2 queen size beds (1 pullout sofa and the master bedroom) were nice and comfortable. There is also lovely large velvet sofa (not a futon) in living room that does not convert to another bed so there are actually only two beds. The sofa is just fine for sitting but was a little too firm for us to sleep on. They also have a stackable washer/dryer to do laundry which was nice. It is located in a quiet setting with a little pond nearby. The large living space is attached to the main house kind of like a garage apartment of sorts. It was a little confusing as to which part was the rental but it is the one with the large sliding glass doors just as you pull into the driveway behind the house. Take the small road just off Bee Ridge to get to the back of the house. It is close to and Aldi & Walmart and other little restaurants about 10 minutes or so away. Check out the Moose Cafe about 20 minutes away for wonderful home cooking and reasonable prices. The Biltmore House is a must to see on your vacation! The owner was very quick to respond to my questions or needs. She even had them deliver a nice bottle of Biltmore wine with chocolate bars as was described in the amenities. You can tell that this a a lovingly care for home. It was a comfortable stay for four adults plus pets. I would certainly recommend a stay here and look forward to coming again!

Disappointed
The apartment is what is described by other reviewers, located on the back of a house. We could hear very little through the walls, so, privacy isn’t an issue. The landscape is beautiful as shown in the pictures, is on 2 acres for you and your pup to take a walk and has a nice pond to look at as well. I'm sure that it is lovely to sit outside when the weather isn't so cool (as it was at Thanksgiving when we were there). The heat was more than adequate in the kitchen/living room, but could not feel any radiant heat or forced air coming from the vents in the bedroom. However, leaving the bedroom door open all night resulted in heat eventually coming into the room. The bedroom had a queen sized bed with a pillow top that was ok. The dresser was missing handles from a couple of the drawers, which were found inside a drawer (meaning someone knew it needed fixing). The living room had 2 couches in good condition as well as a flat screen tv that worked fine. The bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. This may be an issue if you aren't that friendly with your other guests that may be staying with you. There was a leak behind the wall of the shower, which caused the water to gush out from the shower head pipe and down the edges to the floor. From the softness of the floor boards, it is obvious that this has been going on for some time. We find it a bit odd that there is no quality assurance mechanism in place so that the house cleaner could/would alert the owner so that it could be fixed. The owner/manager was very responsive and as a result, we were moved to a 2 bedroom/1 bath rental unit, which was in disrepair; the owner acknowledged the issues stating that they were in the midst of fixing it up and had us move in anyway. We had rented the original unit instead of staying in a hotel to host our family’s Thanksgiving dinner, having traveled from Florida bringing all the food and prep with us. The kitchen at the second unit was smaller than my daughter’s 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment kitchen and in retrospect, wished we had been given the choice of a refund, which we would have taken. We shortened our stay because we were uncomfortable and expecting better for what we paid. (The lower rate listed with the pictures is misleading.) We were given a $100 refund and a beautiful poinsettia for our troubles. The chocolate and Biltmore wine were a nice touch.

Lovely, clean, quiet
We enjoyed our long weekend in Asheville, partly because we found a comfortable, roomy place to stay. It was close to everything we wanted to do - the City, the mountains, the Parkway. The kitchen was nicely appointed, the apartment was clean and the bed offered a good night's sleep. We would definitely consider staying here again

Great little house - way more cozy than a hotel
Well this was a great little house. Couch bed was SUPER comfy. They provided local beer, chocolates, and coffee. Not much signal for texting so be prepared. Bathroom sink didnt drain very well but hopefully they'll fix that. Other than that - great little place. Watch the hidden charges tho - they advertised at $125 and $99 a night at this place but our bill for 3 nights was $641. But the privacy and beautiful home was well worth it.

Quiet & peaceful
Nice accommodations & very comfortable bed. The location has a very nice large yard, pond & outdoor seating area. We were evacuated due to the hurricane. Kathy was very accommodating & helpful, easing a stressful situation.

Overall this is a beautiful little place to stay.
Plenty of room with a nice property to enjoy. The owners provided coffee, beer, and chocolate as nice welcoming gifts. I would suggest that the cleaning crew vacuum, dust , and clean the glassware a little better, but overall we would return for a future stay.

good times in Asheville
We really enjoyed the place - it was the perfect size for two people. Its on a really pretty piece of property, and despite being attached to someone's home felt private. The whole place felt brand new and was well equipped with better pots, pans, etc than I generally expect in a rental. It was a little farther out than I would have liked - it was at least 10 minutes to get anywhere - but that was a small price to pay. Overall, very happy with the property!
