PROPERTY Description
This area of NC is so beautiful? Some of our favorite things to do include hiking the nearby Bartram & Appalachian trails, swimming in the Nantahala lake, white water raft the Nantahala River, and fly fishing the creeks and rivers in the area. We also enjoy the scenic Cherahola Skyway and Deal's Gap (Tail of the Dragon). There's so much to do in the area - but when you're ready to relax we invite you to rest at night under the star canopy around the fire pit and watch the sunset on the deck.

The space
In addition to a completely stocked modern cabin, you will have access to several acres of flat, manicured lawn surrounded by mountains and a soothing mountain creek to dip your toes in. In 2017 we enjoyed a once in a lifetime view of the Solar Eclipse in the "Path of Totality." We have constructed a beautiful stone fire pit for cooking s'mores as you gaze upon the incredible night sky, full of stars!
While we encourage you to hike and explore the area we do ask that you respect the private driveways/cabins in the area, to include our other rental cabin up at the top of the mountain and the private docks near the lake on Little Choga Drive. The Lakes End Marina and the Public boat launch areas are our favorite places to rent boats/jet skis/canoes etc.

We have a beautiful new parking area right next to the cabin for easy loading and load out of groceries and luggage.

We had a great time at Mike‘s cabin
We had a great time at Mike‘s cabin. The location is in the middle of the mountains with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The cabin itself is totally amazing and equipped with everything you need. Our host Mike took totally care of us and was always available with an answer to our questions. We can recommend Mike and his cabin to 100% and we would definitely book again.Athena
The inside of the cabin was beautiful
The inside of the cabin was beautiful and matched the pictures perfectly. It was nice at points not having service, but in the middle of the night a random car pulled up the our cabin, which the host had no control over, but still made it a little unsettling. But all being said, the cabin is beautiful and the inside is so nice and fully stocked!Jamie
Words cannot express the peace
My tiny family and I booked this at the very last minute in the evac for Hurricane Florence. We weren't necessarily looking for a vacation by any means but WOW did we find one at this place. We loved our stay at Mike’s tiny cabin! The space had everything we needed with a minimalist style that invited you in after a day full of exploring and adventuring! The deck space was perfect for grilling in the evening and we even enjoyed a stroll at dusk down the gravel road beside the property. This place is seriously a getaway!
This place is seriously a getaway! This was our last relaxing weekend together before we move my boyfriend for his second round of college and it was AMAZING! The no internet thing seems a bit daunting at first, because I’m in school again and have a full time job, but once I let go, I did not want to leave! It was exactly what we didn’t even know we needed! Mike was so attentive before we arrived, as we had no problems or anything during our stay so we didn’t need to contact them at all! It was fully equipped, which was so nice! If there were more than 5 stars, they’d get it for this place! It was wonderful, Thank you!Scott
