PROPERTY Description
A luxurious and secluded mountain retreat, Woodhaven is one of only 2 houses located on over 240 wooded acres. 2400 square foot custom built log home with high vaulted ceilings, handcrafted railings, wormy maple floors and wood-burning fireplace. The main floor has master bedroom with King sized bed & bath with garden tub and steam shower. The second bedroom has Queen sized bed and another full bath. Upstairs in the loft is the TV with full sized futon and sofa. The third bedroom has a bunk bed with double on the bottom and twin up top. Upstairs and down includes large windows with incredible views. Steps from the living room is the 4 person hot tub with mountain views. The house is handicap friendly with entry ramp, wide doorways and grab bars in the downstairs bath. Location is 12 minutes from Chimney Rock & Lake Lure, 30 minutes from Asheville, & 25 minutes from Black Mountain. Sheets and Towels INCLUDED for your convenience. PLEASE NOTE: Front wheel or 4WD recommended. Best to arrive during daylight hours.
Woodhaven is dog friendly but sorry no cats.

We loved staying at Woodhaven. The cabin is beautiful, fully stocked with everything you need for a great stay. Traveling with dogs is always a challenge but the cabin even accommodated this. The protected dog run was a surprise and such a welcome. Not having to worry about our dogs getting lost or risking an encounter with wildlife that might have sent them off into the Forrest was a relief. I also loved the adventure of the off road experience to get to the cabin. I really got to use my jeep the way it was meant to be used. So much fun. Thanks for sharing with us.David
Great Christmas at Woodhaven - Beautiful Cabin!!!
Our family including our family dog spent the week of Christmas at Woodhaven (2013). Our cabin stay was a delightful experience; so much so that we will definitely be returning this summer!!! The cabin is about 1/2 hour from asheville, 1/2 hour from Black Mountain, and just minutes from Chimney Rock; so plenty to do. Aside from the steep climb to get to the cabin (AWD vehicle highly recommended), the cabin's location is peaceful and quiet (only one other cabin on the mountain), allowing for hiking on the mountain. To top it off, the realty company that manages this property was professional & responsive to all our needs. All in all ... Beautiful cabin - great experience!!!Timnkristi
