PROPERTY Description
Constructed of 6' x 12' hemlock logs and lapside cypress our cabins front the North Toe River in a high mountain valley area at Plumtree surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. These cabins are delightful retreats for a restful and relaxing getaway. From our cypress covered porches you can often see deer, herons, geese and ducks as well as cattle and horses. The river offers good fly fishing, kayaking (kayaks provided) and swimming. Several excellent restaurants and five churches grace our community.
Nearby area attractions include 6 golf courses, 3 ski resorts, Bristol Motor Speedway, Roan Mountain State Park, the Appalachian Trail, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Penland School of Crafts, NC Mineral Museum, the Orchard at Altapass, Grandfather Mountain, choose & cut Christmas tree farms, the Blind Squirrel Brewery in Plumtree and much more.
Of course, a visit to nearby Spruce Pine, Banner Elk, Boone or Blowing Rock, to name a few, as well as to Asheville and its Biltmore Estate provide exciting and memorable jaunts.
